MADE scours the earth (ok, the internet) looking for the best labels that are: ethical, suitable for maternity and breastfeeding, and have a great aesthetic and style. We source brands from the USA, New Zealand and Australia. The prices of our overseas labels are subject to exchange rates, and as MADE is an Australian based business, prices in Australia will vary between Australian Dollars and other currencies, according to exchange rates.
At MADE we have a strong policy on sticking to the Recommended Retail Price (RRPs) set by our brand partners. So if you see a price differential between our site and another, it’s most likely down to the exchange rate.
The great thing about MADE is that we do all the time consuming searches for great maternity and breastfeeding styles, and we take care of the international shipments of our brand partners’ great designs, so that truly stylish maternity wear is available to women the world over.
If you have any questions, suggestions or concerns about any of our prices or brands, drop us a line.

This San Fransisco label was born out of one woman’s frustration with her sudden inability to button up her jeans around her expanding pregnant belly. The Bella Band was born, a stretch band that goes over your existing jeans and pants when they will no longer do up the conventional way, but are still fitting in the leg.
Ingrid and Isabel went from the Bella Band to developing its own seamless essentials, and from there expanded into a fashion line in 2012.
Ingrid and Isabel works closely with suppliers and manufacturers to follow industry standards and comply with laws and workplace regulations to prohibit forced and child labor, and to provide a safe and healthy work environment. As a company it is vigilant in waste reduction.
From the San Fran base, the company supports the city’s Homeless Prenatal Program, providing financial support and donated product that supplies clothing to their community of mom’s in transition away from homelessness.
Manufactured in China and the US, this label is focused on delivering beautiful basics and breastfeeding friendly, stylish designs to pregnant women everywhere and we’re stoked to stock them at madematernity.co
This New York label is pretty up there with the world’s most stylish breastfeeding gear. Made from ingenius textiles that dry quickly and repel breastmilk so as to avoid stains, Au Lait’s designs have an uncommon edge when it comes to great maternity and breastfeeding gear.
Au Lait was founded by New York Mum Emily Hsu, who’s from a family of designers of high performance textiles - she knows her stuff when it comes to what breastfeeding Mum’s need from their clothes.
Au Lait has three core ideals: convenience, compassion, and community. All their clothes are designed to flatter the new mother and are engineered to allow an unprecedented level of ease and privacy when feeding.
All Au Lait’s fabrics are sourced from the USA and Japan and are made in the heart of New York City.
Emily is incredibly selective when it comes to the mills and manufacturers she works with. The New York factory produces all Au Lait designs, and abides by all federal and state labor laws, and the mills in Japan and New York all work to stringent environmental and workplace practices.
We are so happy to have Au Lait on madematernity.co - this is a label that is changing the rule book for how style and functionality coexist.
